TORONTO, August 20, 2012 – Frank Siracusa, Producer and head of Whizbang Films today announced founding partner Paul Gross will be leaving the company by the end of August. Paul Gross and Frank Siracusa joined forces in 1999 to create Whizbang Films and have shared many successes over the years. Together Siracusa and Gross have made Whizbang Films a leading Canadian producer of films and television and a respected industry professional internationally.


"Paul has played a major role in shaping the values of the company and we will miss his intelligence and incredible work ethic," said Frank Siracusa."His depth of understanding the art of storytelling helped set the bar in deciding the projects Whizbang participates in. Whizbang's latest feature film Cottage Country directed by Peter Wellington and starring Malin Akerman, Lucy Punch and Tyler Labine, recently locked and theatrical release plans will be announced shortly. During their time together, Siracusa and Gross have had successes such as box office hits Men with Brooms and multiple Genie award winner Passchendaele (both starring Paul Gross), Hobo with a Shotgun with Rutger Hauer, and Breakaway starring Rob Lowe and Russell Peters. Their television library boasts titles such as H2O; its sequel The Trojan Horse; the gripping peacekeeper series ZOS: Zone of Separation; Cra$h & Burn; and the comedic drama The Yard.
